turn up game settings or play at a higher resolution if your gpu isn't getting worked hard enough. An 8700k should not have any issues keeping up in most titles, but if you turn settings down hard enough eventually you'll make a bottleneck.

Check what is using so much of your resources

2400mhz memory probably isnt helping.. do you have one stick? Or are you running in dual channel?

At 1440p the load is more GPU bound regardless. Just OC the snot out of your 8700k and call it a day.

Running dual channel. Orderd a 3600mhz cl 16-16-16-36 kit of trident z neo that will arrive on monday or tuesday
