Face down horizontal workstation?

Sort of, I'm seen the ones where the monitors are at knee level (facing upward, so your neck in angled downward, putting less/zero stress on your neck/back), and you use one of those chairs where you sit on your knees to work, takes a bit of getting used to, but in the short term it seems to work well, YMMV of course.

That sounds terrible lol. It might be nice for an hour but laying on your stomach 12 hours a day is going to be worse than any ass pain. I suggest getting a standing desk or one that you can easily swap between sitting and standing

Got a standing desk and a traditional setup. Using the standing desk resolves the ass pain, but affects another condition I've got going on when used all day. Probably just need to find a good balance between the two.

I spent $1700 3 months ago on a herman miller embody. It's better than my last chair, and at this point I would say it was worth the price on build quality alone. It's helped some what, but I think I just may not know how to ergo >_<

Probably that.  Your posture is most likely terrible and you don't have things adjusted the right way.

 

Do some research and you'll notice massive improvements in your health.  Also, being in good shape I have found reduces fatigue and pain from sitting around in a chair.

I can't speak highly enough about standing desks.

 

Just make sure you don't stand for more than 10 minutes at a time at first, then move it up to 20 and no more than 40 mins per working hour.

 

I miss my job on a factory floor where I would stand for 12 hours a day, it was only OK then as I was walking about and moving, if not walking don't do more than 40 mins per hour!

I used something like this in elementary school whenever I was learning to type lol I didnt see the benefit in it back then besides playing that space cadet 3d pinball game and not letting the teacher see lol
