@Averykindguy1998 this is a great option. I personally have a similar setup ti this build and it holds up pretty damn well on most modern games. Most games maxed out at 1080p i get around 50-65 fps average

What's your budget? You'd be best off getting a 4670K, though, your budget may not allow it.

CPU: Intel i7 8700K | CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 | RAM: Kingston HyperX 2x8GB | Motherboard: Asus ROG Z370-E | GPU: MSI GTX 970 | HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB & 2TB | SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB & 970 EVO M.2 500GB | Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X | PSU: Silverstone Platinum Strider 1100W | Monitor: AOC i2367Fh | Headphones: ATH-M40X | Mic: Antlion ModMic 4 | Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB w/ MX Browns | Mouse: Logitech G502 HERO

I wouldn't get the K version honestly, thats like 100$ saved. The stock performance isnt any better, and they only overclock averagely 400MHz which would be a minor 20% performance improvement so just go with this:

CPU:  Intel Core i5-4440 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($179.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard:  MSI H81M-E33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($44.99 @ Micro Center)
Total: $224.98
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

No need to full atx either if you only use 1 gpu.

Hehe...Lol... :) ...first of all there will not be a difference of 100$...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116899

and it can overclock to 4.6 GHz which is 11% improvement in multi tasking and 12 % increase in overall performance...which will be giving atleast 8-10 fps more than at stock as well as increase in minimum fps...

you could also grab a i5-4670K with an cheaper Asrock H87 Fatal1ty performance motherboard. This asrock board has a feuture in the bios called non Z overclock. The board has an 8 powerphase and digi vrm design, so its more then enough capable of doing a 4.5 oc. just use the non Z overclock feuture in the OC tweaker menu in the bios. and select which speed you want, simple as that. (offcourse you need to be abit of lucky with the cpu)

i know it would sound like a bit of marketing crap, but i know some one, who has this, and he has it on 4.5 rocket stable. The point i try to make, is that Z87 board is not allways neccesary.

You could google some information about it your self ""Asrock H87 performance nonZ overclock"".

It's a bit overkill though that extra $75-100 you spend getting that board is better invested in the GPU, or a SSD.

For cpu and motherboard well $300-400

Plan your system as a whole and not part by part unless you're asking for an unbalanced build and/or a bad value.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

If you are just gaming a 4670k would be perfect. And as mother boards go you should get any asus boards.

Or gigabyte... :)
