Rainmeter is a program you can use to add completely pointless information on your desktop to then be covered by everything you do on your computer.

Which is why I find Rainmeter entirely pointless. At least I don't have the habit of just staring at my desktop all day long.

I find it useful for jumping to a specific drive on my system or seeing if my upload is working correctly. It's not completely useless. Just mostly. Takes up very little space on a side monitor.

IMO it makes it easier to stay focused on things I need to do, when things are messy (like my desktop was) I feel stressed, literally stressed and anxious, coming to a nice clean desktop, being able to see what time it is, a small amount of news, and a meme, then get on with what i need to do is nice. also things like audio visualizers on the home screen are cool when playing music over speakers.

along with what always fx said, having utilities to monitor web traffic, drive speed usage, ram usage etc are nice.

Getting "stressed" from a messy desktop - solve it by adding more stuff to it. Okay then... There is absolutely no benefit in seeing your RAM usage / drive usage / web traffic unless you have some need to actively track that for some purpose, and if you do, you don't want to bury that information behind everything. Yes, numbers running on your screen looks cool and hacker-y, but it's completely pointless.

I guess you're correct in the sense that for me a clean desktop means desktop without any useless things on it.

okai everyone this person has no cllue how to use civil and considerate conversation....

Does this sound like something you want others to say to you? Either way you need to take your behavior down a notch and use a bit more civil/mature discussion within this forum.

Read this and apply it.

Thank you.
