No display 10850k new build (old 760 GPU) on Asus PG279Q display

ThtRandomPerson

The monitor detects there is a signal but only a black screen is displayed. I have tried a BIOS flashback, RAM swap, different display, HDMI port and DP on GPU and MB and I still have nothing. There are also no beep codes or any signs of abnormality.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

P.S still waiting on 3080 hence the old GPU

That should all be good to go. Did you test the system outside of the case before putting it in?

I didn't have the room, however,  I took it to someone today they managed to get a display up (no idea how) and managed to get a Windows 10 install on but after bringing it back I'm still having the same issue of no display

will have to phone them tomorrow. They did say due to my monitor being 120hz that it could cause some issues with drivers but everything I have is up to date

That should not matter normally unless you are using adapters.

Yeah I'd phone the dude and see what he did might be something dumb. If that doesn't solve it try it outside the case to make sure it's not something touching a part causing the issue

Will do. I'll keep this updated. Thanks.

Turns out the issue was with the 2x 1TB drives which were preventing the display from coming up on my end. TBH I still don't understand how the drives could have caused this issue but if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them.

Also, the 2 x 1TB drives were my secondary and tertiary storage devices behind the M.2
