Which ram should I get so that it runs in dual channel properly with my current stick of ram?

Hey guys, I have the following 8gb ram stick installed in my pc, yall can see the specs in the cpuz screenshot I have uploaded. I'm planning on getting another stick of 8gb ram so that It runs in dual channel mode properly. Should I get the XPG ADATA GAMMIX D30 DDR4 8GB (1x8GB) 3000MHz U-DIMM Desktop Memory -AX4U300038G16A-SR30 which runs at cl 16-20-20

 

 or should I get the

 

G.Skill F4-3000C16S-8GVRB Ripjaws V DDR4-3000MHz CL16-18-18-38 1.35V 8GB (1x8GB) Memory

@PostMeloneGet the exact same model as what you have, or buy a matched pair and sell the original. There's no guarantee any two unmatched DIMMs will work together.

You're running some 2666MHz ram right now, what motherboard are you using?

 

If your ram speed is capped such as on a B360 motherboard, you shouldn't spend any extra money on 3000MHz ram and get yourself more 2666 if it's cheaper.

As suggested by @AbydosOne getting the exact same model as the one you already have is your best option. Mix matching ram isn't the best idea as a lot of the time they will not be compatible and will cause issues. If you cannot get the exact same model you already have I recommend buying a new kit of the exact amount of memory you want. I wouldn't risk mix matching modules.
