Specs : 

 

 

Cpu - Intel Core i7 3770

Ram- HyperX Fury 8gb ddr3

Psu- Alcatroz Magnum pro 275x 550wat

Gpu- msi Gtx550ti

Hdd- Toshiba 500gb

MoBo- BIOSTAR H81MHV3 

 

 

 

I've been using this pc for about a year now then suddenly i got the BSOD. I can still use it for a while though. It isn't completely unusable. recently went to a computer shop and they told me, my motherboard chipset was the problem. It was getting hot/too hot. Is this true? My own theory is that my hard disk is corrupted for some reason. Which one is the real problem?

What stop code does the bsod give? If it happens again take a pic of it. Also see if the bsod lists a specific file that failed.

Try testing the CPU with Prime95 with the Small FFTs option.

Tell us if you get any errors while testing.
