What happens if you connect a Bitlocker-encyrpted drive with TPM to another computer?

Does it not work? For reference, new computer does not have TPM enabled.

You'll have to enter the recovery key to access it.

Do you recommend using TPM or just entering a password with bitlocker?

Depends what the intent is. TPM prevents access when the drive is removed but doesn't prevent booting. I personally use a USB key to unlock so that it isn't even possible to start the PC without it.

What about a fTPM? It came with my processor.
