Extremely specific question about DAWs (Music production)

Go to solution Solved by Takt1kal,

Thanks for your help, but someone already helped me in reddit.

THIS CAN ONLY BE SOLVED BY MUSIC PRODUCERS

Whenever I try to take a sample sound into waveform free or ableton DAW, I want it to be on the piano roll with the keys (C,d,e,f,g,a,b,c) as the same note as the sample sound. A donk sound in my case, (for hardbass) this is possible in FL studio but it's paid (Please don't tell me to pirate it, please). I want the piano roll to convert the note of the sample sound onto the keys, you can also tell me some plugins for this. (if there are any lol)

I'm trying to figure this out for a week now, any help is greatly appreciated.

P.S: I'm very sorry for such a specific question, I hope it's allowed.

Thanks.

So you want to detect the pitch of the sample and auto map it?

Yes, that's right. I see people using it but they don't say how do they do it.

Thanks.
