Ultrawide back to standard?

Just want to get other peoples thoughts on this. I have a 3440x1440 vast 35" monitor i got during the initial drop, and i love it. However sometimes it almost too big, and i've been thinking of going back to a pair of 2560x1440 around 27". Part of it is that i miss having one thing on two separate screens, i.e. game and discord. And  the screen is  just huge on my desk and I feel like I have to sit way farther back than I want with it. 

 

Hoping you guys can give me some advice.

There's some software you can get to divide your monitor into virtual sections, so that it is like two monitors without a bezzel.
