I have too many Xeons...Help!

First of all, I don't know if this is the right category for this post, but here goes.

My problem, as stated in the title, is that I have more Xeons than I know what to do with. I have listed a few on Ebay, but they haven't sold well. Apparently, there isn't a huge m,arket for used Xeons. So, with that in mind, what should I do with them? I would like to make some money on them, and to recoup my investment I only need to sell them for $5 each.

Well old xeons aren't particularly useful or valuable these days unless there's some sort of enthusiast who wants to make a build just for fun or a VERY outdated company needing replacements for inefficient servers.

you should probably stick them into some supported motherboards then just sell the board and cpu's as combos as the boards are more likely replacements people might need vs the cpu's themselves.

depending on the kind of Xeon they might still be worth something. old E5 2690's for example are still worth a pretty penny, but for lower tier socket 1366 or below i wouldn't get my hopes up.

again, really depends on the models. The old LGA 771 Xeons? not worth more than a couple bucks a pop. Even something like a Xeon X5550 on LGA 1366 can be had for under $5, maybe under $1 from the right buyer.

Are any of them X58? Those are great overclockers lol

What Xeons are they? If they are lower end ones for the socket, they aren't worth much.

For example 4c/8t Xeons for LGA1366 or LGA2011 aren't worth much. But 4c/8t Xeons for mainstream platforms (that don't have CPUs with more cores) are worth more.

Most LGA1366 6c/12t aren't worth much more than about 30€ because there is so many of them available and they can be overclocked.

On LGA2011 high clocked Xeons with 6c/12t or more can be worth quite a bit more

I have a pretty good variety, with about 60% being 1366, 30% being 771, and 5% each of relatively low-end 1156 and 2011 chips.
Based on suggestions, I will probably not even bother with the 771s

The 2011s will be listed since they're the newest and maybe someone wants them

I will likely do the same with the higher-end 1366s, and just cut my losses on the rest of them

I have a lot of those, so at least some of them have purpose even if they're worth almost nothing
