Mini ITX Build

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/39ehg

Hey guys, wanted your opinion on the build and whether you can see any improvements for around the same price?

Also, if you guys know of any smaller mini itx cases that these parts would fit in please tell me because smallness is key for this build.]

Thanks!

If you want it to be superrrrrrr small, then look at a Hadron, it has an integrated 500w psu, which is plenty. It's one of the nicest looking and smallest ITX cases.

From the looks of things it should fit in this case http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-case-rc120akkn1

However it has a more acquired look to it.

Motherboard: MSI H87M-G43 Case: Fractal Design Define R4

Sorry, but that case is well out of my price range.

Some of the Cooler Master cases are smaller than that (Elite 110, 130, etc.) and they are cheaper.

The Prodigy is a bit larger than other MITX cases IMO.

Is noise going to be a factor?

If you want an m-itx build to replace your current one. Id just find a m-itx MB that supports your current i5-2500k. that thing still has a lot of life left in it.

This isn't replacing my current rig, it's for my brother :)

Noise is not too much of a factor, no.

Good, since my seagate drive makes this really annoying chirping noise.

Looks good overall though.  The Cooler Master, Lian-Li, or Fractal Design MITX cases are all smaller than the Prodigy.

In that case. I would really try and save a little more and get the low end i5. even though the i3 is still pretty good id def get the Intel Core i5-4440 because its a true quad core.

you can offset the cost of that CPU with a cheaper case.

I did just that! thanks for the advice buddy!
