Not sure $50 off $900 is a Hot Deal, but I will admit it's a nice laptop.

How is the reliability on Zenbooks? I was interested in picking up that exact laptop but I've heard ASUS has a lot of issues and I'm looking for something that would last me at leats 4 years.

I think the first thing to mention when recommending this laptop is the fact that it has no headphone jack, which I think is totally ridiculous. I did consider buying it but for about the same price you can have the HP Spectre Envy x360 with a touch screen, similar hardware and easier to configure on the HP website.

Hardware Canucks and Dave2D both mentioned such issues. They both added that it could be their units only but that's still two reviewers with faulty units... Overall Asus is known for cutting costs on the software if their budget lineups so I'm currently more into the HP.

HP is good crushing prices during sales so I don't worry about that. The reviewers reported issues like BSOD when opening the lid while it's in sleep mode, rendering issues on Resolve with the file being corrupted, sound driver issues. You should check the videos from Hardware Canucks and Dave2D.

Also I'm not sure which Envy model you are comparing it against but you can choose between the 13 and 15 " variants. The 15" is fully upgradable. You can also get a 400 nits screen for an extra $50, which I totally would considering that it's a glossy touch screen.

i compared it against all three, they were all less performance/ specs at higher price point, (minus audio jack lmfao)

if i find one on sale ill probably pick it up, maybe hopefully black friday/ cyber monday, or after the holidays
