Not that I have done it, but it should be just fine. Your case might get crappy looking if you do it a lot but it will not break the computer.

It's possible, but I wouldn't expect it...

I wouldn't worry.

It can however, get into the PC, and very slowly build up the grime from the smoke. (just like regular dust)

Just clean your system periodically.

I would avoid any form of smoking around PC hardware, though it's not smoke(which does it's own special kind of damage) it is water vapor which in enough quantity is a bad thing.

Well the smoke might not hurt it but anything in the smoke can cause buildup on the PCBs over time not to mention dust will become attracted tot he PCBs more if they have buildup on them. I wouldn't say it should harm them but just keep your PC clean because I know people who smoke and the inside of their PCs had a thick brown oily dust that kills computers.

Clean it out once a month at least, and you'll be fine.

The smoke in this case, wouldn't be any worse than regular dust, so just regular maintenance.

I don't think the vapor would be different than high humidity but what do I know Im not a water scientist.

Mis-read the topic - water vapour is the number one killer of PCs (no I don't have any proof), I'd suggest not doing it.

I clean out smoker's PCs regularly, it's not a fun job. You may as well just grab Klag glue and spread it over everything. It also stains everything a nasty yellow colour, including cables.

I'd suggest taking the smoking out of the house anyway, but I don't need to lecture you on that :)

Im not smoking cigs..
