Thread overview, is this a bug or intentional?

This is deliberate, and there are similar design approaches on other sites (such as Google's design philosophy).

If you're in thread overview there's no distinction between threads anymore except a thin white line, it used to be gray / dark gray / gray / etc which made distinguishing between different threads much easier.

It doesn't just make distinguishing between threads more difficult, I've also just noticed it makes finding specific threads *very* difficult because everything looks so uniform now, which is in stark contrast to actually viewing a thread where there is an over abundance of "gray" shades (I've counted up to 7 different shades in a single post which seems obviously excessive)

I think this has to do with the updating their doing. I've had the same thing start happening since they said they were updating and people couldn't log in with Microsoft, Facebook, ect.

Ya im sure it's due to the update, I'm just not sure if it's intentional or not, I think alternating thread colors just make it overall a lot easier to navigate - even though not alternating thread colors looks cleaner, it doesn't really make for a better experience I feel.

Oh, ok, I said this today in other thread already, it does look cleaner, and I would have thought the different shades never looked good on any site, but now I realize it had an actual purpose... It makes browsing and navigating easier.

So basically this is a form over function approach which is true many sites and applications are following right now, it's a bad design approach though as it makes usability actually more difficult, for the purpose of looking more "sleek"...
