If you're only gaming the i5 will be just as fast as the 8350, faster in older more single-threaded titles.
However I would really recommend neither processor, get an FX 8320 & overclock it to 8350 clock speeds, put the money you saved into a more powerful graphics card.
You'll end up with even better gaming performance & better system longevity.

bang for buck the 8350 craps all over the i5 however in single thread performance an i3 will beat out a 8350 by far, furthermore the chipsets are far superior on the intel platform. It seems like a safer bet to go with intel, not really a k sku, due to the crappy overclocking abilities.

depends on your budget and use.

you would need to be in the building process with a clear budget goal to make the correct choice.

Go for the I5 if its strictly gaming. Go 8350 if you do some heavy multi-core stuff etc.

So the title says all ... (Only gaming)

Why do people keep making these threads :c

They pop up all the time and cause lots of arguments and flame wars :/

But to actually answer your question. If you're just gaming- 4670k will trash the FX.

But make sure you're throwing a good GPU as I see lots of people buying i5 machines with 650s when i3 machines plus 760s will trash those as well :D

If you want a nice mini itx or mATX build, go with the i5.

Besides the whole argument below, you gave us almost nothing to work with except gaming......Could we get a budget, location and daily games/ programs used. Saying "what do you prefer for gaming?" is going to start a riot between AMD and Intel, have you not forgotten we are PC enthusiasts.

For only gaming I'd go with a FX 6300 and spend more on the GPU.

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | Corsair H100i Pro | ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming 4 | Corsair Vengeance 32GB 2x16gb @ 3200mhz  | Vega 64 @ Stock | Fractal Design Define R4 | Corsair RM750

ThinkPad T480 | Intel Core i7 8650u | Nvidia MX150 | 32GB DDR4 @ 2400mhz | Samsung 840 Pro 1tb | 1080p touchscreen

Both choices are totaly fine, it does not matter much which way to go, unless you play some older games, or games with a realy bad codded gaming engine, for multiple core usage, such as ARMA3 LoL and DayZ for example, thease games in particular favour intels per core performance. Its not that the FX is bad on those games, but the game is just bad designed.

But in most new todays games, it does not matter much, which cpu I5 or FX8320/50 you choose, they both perform realy well, its all depending on what you wanne spend in the end. the GPU is still the thing to put your money at.

ive got an FX8350, and it performs realy well. i dont have any complains, only like i said above ARMA3 i dont get it much higher then 30/40 fps.

Look guys this is what i was thinking to buy if i go with intel - http://de.pcpartpicker.com/user/Frankenstein14RO/saved/41Ak

Can someone change the cpu with and amd one and another mobo ? (i dont wanna go over 800€, I live in germany)

http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/38p2N

Also added a significantly better cooler, should be good for 4.7Ghz+

The CM Hyper 212 was only going to get you ~4.3Ghz.

List what games you play, if they all are gpu bound then you're better off with a 8320 to save some money here.

The 4670k is a bit better, but I guarantee that you'd be happy with the 8350, or even an 8320 overclocked. If this is for a new build I would recommend getting the 8320, overclocking it, and putting the extra money in to your graphics card.

I would suggest getting the FX-8320 ($160 in the US) if you are on a budget. The 8320 gets close to the clocks of the 8350, but for $30 cheaper in the US at least. If you are not on a budget get the 4670K ($230 here). One last thing to remember too is that to get a quality socket 1150 motherboard is going to be more expensive as well.

BF4, AC4, War Thunder, World of tanks, Planetside2 ...

Well BF4/AC4 are definitely gpu bound so the difference is nonexistent there but Planetside 2 is a massive cpu limited game that's IPC reliant so an i5 would suit you here the best. A 8350 overclocked at 5GHz is still behind a stock i5 in PS2

Why not get something like this?

CPU:  Intel Core i5-4440 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($179.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard:  MSI H81M-P33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($42.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $222.98
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

A K version practically only adds an option to overclock, mostly you get 400MHz out and thats probably a 20% gain. I don't think its worth the extra 100$.

Dude lives in Germany so those prices are not relevant. Find EU site for example prices.

I have an i5 4670K and I'd say get an FX 8350 much better CPU for your money.
I regret paying the premium for the 4670K.
