Posted October 25, 2020 Otter Browser FTW! Tbh it all depends what you want from a browser. At work I mainly use Chrome, but Firefox is at least used once a day. At home, it's the other way round. Posted October 25, 2020 I tried Vivaldi for a few weeks. That wasn't bad. But "wasn't bad" isn't enough. Also a few bugs and glitches here and there and it dind't take long for me to switch back to chrome. Posted October 25, 2020 What if someone uses 3 or more browsers? Now they're very similar and, imo, worse and worse every year. Functionality is reduced every year and version number is mostly a joke. Firefox now has no keyboard customization. Many plugins do not working because only one api is now allowed. Chrome has dozens alternatives that works basically the same with few more functions sometimes. But forget about complex configuration - you cannot even disable font smoothing. Top bar with own buttons if someone likes? Forget it - none of current browsers allow that, no matter if some user like them or not. In many cases you cannot even use alternative speed dial on new tab. That is how freedom dies for security and unification. Anyone remember when Opera has built-in email client, IRC client, torrent and webserver? And probably few more I forget? That was of course old Opera with Presto engine, not new chrome version. Today Firefox updated from 82 to 83 version on my computer. Differences? Probably few bugfixes and some cosmetic changes. Most of users probably don't even notice which Firefox or Chrome version they use - 63 or 83. In old days this will be probably Firefox 6.0.2.1 or something like that. Have you ever tried Firefox, Opera GX, Opera or Edge because they are all basically better than Vivaldi. Posted October 26, 2020 Please make this multiple option question. I won't choose "Other" just because I use 4 browsers. Firefox and Opera (both currently open while writing this) on desktop, Firefox on Android, and Edge for testing things like websites. I also have Dolphin Browser on mobile for certain sites which scale weirdly on Firefox. ^^^^ That's my post ^^^^ <-- This is me --- That's your scrollbar --> vvvv Who's there? vvvv Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/1261663-what-browser-do-you-use/#findComment-14151259 Share on other sites
