ryzen 7 3800x vs 5 5600

They cost / will cost about the same. (at least where I live) But on paper comparing ghz and cores and other known specs the ryzen 7 3800x seems better in every way. Is there any significant architectural difference that will make the ryzen 5 5600 worth it? Am I missing something?

ps: I know waiting for independent reviews first would probably be a good idea, I still wanted to ask since I haven't heard anyone talking about this (yet).

For CPU intensive apps - 3800X

For games - 5600 probably

But who knows?

I edit my posts more often than not

Well theres also the thing called IPS (instructions per second). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instructions_per_second

So speeds are only an indication, some CPU's are faster even tho have a lower clockspeed.
(Also why 3 year old 5Ghz CPU cant even come close to CPU's now running at 4Ghz. just an example).

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

Yes. There is one pool of cache that is shared by both chiplets. Should be much more efficient.
