BIOSTAR Racing B550GTQ

BIOSTAR Racing B550GTQ AMD AM4/B550/microATX. Can't find much info on this board. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough. Looking for VRM data. Or someone that can tell me if I should buy or pass. My other options are the b550 MSI TOMAHAWK, ASUS TUFF, or the Gigabyte Elite or Pro.

The only reason I'm even considering this option is because I found the board for 139.00. If it's as good as the rest I could save a few bucks on the build. I have a strick budget I have to adhere to.

I'm really leaning towards the Gigabyte Aurous Pro. Because the TOMAHAWK at it's price would make me drop a tier lower in CPU power. I found the PRO for 159.00 which seems to be a really good price. Anyway any help would be appreciated!

The GTQ has 6 ISL99390's for the vcore, those are 90A SPS, the board has pretty good vrm, the board over all is a decent board.

You could also check the b550 a pro or the b550 strix f on top of these boards, and those are also decent.

Which Aorus Pro? The mATX one is awful, ATX one is decent. Also what CPU do you want to use?

GTQ's hardware isnt bad, better than many boards below $180 (unless you use APUs), problem is software optimization because Biostar is small and software optimization is expensive (time consuming). Not against it, just know there's a reason why they have to sell it cheaper than competitors.

The ATX not mAtx, also the cpu I'd like to use is to be determined. But most likely it'll be the Ryzen 5800x. If I can get one. But, even If I can't it'll be in the same price/tier. But, I've found allot of info. And I'm gonna go with the Gigabyte Aurous Pro B550. Not the micro. After going through review after review. Comparison after comparison. I liked the options you get with the Pro. And the price isn't outrageous. Coming in at about 159.00, 20 less than the TOMAHAWK. Thanks though for the consideration, I just need to learn how to slow down and research alittle better.
