Does the RTX 2070 super works with this components?

AaronG 21

So my current build it’s a R5 1600af, 8 gigs of ddr4 3200mhz, an rx 480 4gb, and a 500 watts psu. I’m upgrading the psu for a 650 watt psu, 80+ bronze, and my graphics card. The reason being my friend is selling his 2070 super FE to me for low price, for 230$ and I’m concerned if my cpu and motherboard would work fine, specially the motherboard which is an gigabyte b450 ds3h. I know the power supply should be fine (650w), and my cpu should be ok since I did some research and it only bottlenecks a tiny bit in 1080p gaming, please correct me if I’m wrong! And let me know if it’s good, or what in the meantime I should upgrade. Thanks a lot!

The motherboard has a PCIe slot, the graphics card uses PCIe. For modern components, that's all that really matters. Well, that and you're not using an ultra cheap PSU, hopefully it's a decent model.

Pcpartpicker.com has a built in compatibility filter, for any future questions you might have about what components work together.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Looks fine, The DS3H(Dash) from gigabyte does not have the biggest VRM's but that's fine, like @Fasauceome said all that is needed is a mobo with a PCIe slot+enough power from the PSU. If you have a little bigger budget, you should grab another 8GB of the same exact RAM, it will make all the difference.

Everything everyone else stated. At 1080p, it’ll bottleneck relatively hard, but that’s just the reality of low resolution and a “slow” CPU. It is zen+ which is at least better than original Zen, but don’t expect to be setting any FPS records. It will be an upgrade for sure, but just set your expectations accordingly. I assume you will get 70% the FPS the GPU is capable of providing on a faster CPU.
