Compiling a list of places you can queue/backorder 30 series cards

WillOfTheLand

Since the clusterfuck that is the 30 series launch is expected to last right into next year I figured I'd compile a list of places where you can put in a order and not have to worry about a scalper bot swiping up the card before you even knew it was in stock.

So far these are the sites/stores/partners that have been providing backorder/queuing, keeping in mind that some will have requirements such as once your order is up you have to confirm it within a few hours or even having to place the order in person at their store (memory express/canada computers).

I don't think they do backorders, just setting up alerts. No holding it if it comes in stock.

Holding out for an FE card. My 1660 Super will do just fine in the meantime.

  • 4 months later...

literally NONE of these has back orders. I'm legit at the point where I will literally send someone my 2070 and some cash to get a 3080. I've been waiting since the day they dropped. I clicked to order one 10 minutes after they appeared on Best Buy's website on launch day and got the message that they were sold out. I tried to buy different ones in different places and nothing. same story ever since This is far, FAR beyond ridiculous at this point and it has honestly put a very bad taste in my mouth.

The most likely reason for why you can't place an order for these GPUs is so the stores and Nvidia can ramp up the price.

Most online stores in Sweden allowed you to order these GPUs in the first couple of weeks after launch but not any longer.

Those people that had already placed an order were the lucky ones at those orders were confirmed for the original price.

I was able to place an order for my 3080 TUF for 790eur 1 day after launch.

My GPU arrived in late December and at that time the same GPU was priced at 990eur.

Today the very same 3080 TUF is priced at 1190eur.

So in 4½-5 months the price has gone up by 50%.

All in the same store in Sweden.

I was lucky that I got my 3080.

A friend of mine also placed an order in the same store a few days after me and he is still waiting for his GPU.

CPU: i9 9900K   Cooler: NH-D15   RAM: Kingston Fury 4 x 8GB 3600MHz CL17   Mobo: ASUS ROG Strix Z390-F   GPU: ASUS 3080 TUF   Case: In Win D-Frame   PSU: Corsair HX850i   Storage: 250GB Samsung 970 EVO NVMe (OS), 500GB Samsung 970 EVO NVMe (Games), 2TB Crucial BX500 SSD (Storage)   Monitor: Samsung Odyssey Neo G9.
