Upgrade now or latter

Hi everyone

i have a prebuild PC with a Intel i7 2600 CPU, Nvidia GT420, 8 Gigs of ram and a 600watt PSU

My motherboard is a normal acer and it dose not have any room for me to start tweaking.I wanna start to do some moderate gaming on it so im going to change the graphics card probably with a Radeon R7 265.

I have 3 options

1: Just change the graphic card

2:Get a new graphic card and motherboard assuming if the CPU is still good for gaming

3:Wait for sometime and get a new system when Broadwell comes out

I wanna do some 1080p gaming with good quality.i wanna know that you guys think

Thank you

1. NEVER buy a pre-build.

2. Just change the GPU and you're good to go.

Option 1.

Get R9 290x or GTX 780Ti

Neither of those are fairly priced at the moment, but yes, they should only need to upgrade the GPU.

1080p gaming, a 290 or 280x is good for you if you really want to maximize things. But for casual gaming with medium to high settings i guess 270x is the best choice.

Would definitely recommend a GTX 760 of some sort.

290 or 280x if you can afford them, if you live in Europe a 290x/780 might also be an option

A 2600 is fine for gaming. Shames its not a k series but the 260 is fine.
