Do i need to create a folder for windows 10 on my usb drive (on mobile)?

I want to download windows to from my phone to usb drive for my pc. I dont know if i have to create a folder and name it something and if the usb drive needs to be empty.

Like to install windows on the computer? You can’t just copy a file to a usb drive and plug it in to the computer, you need to write the .iso file to the usb. It’s similar to putting a movie on a dvd, you can’t just copy it on, you would have to burn the movie to the dvd.

Writing/burning the iso file is not the same as copying a file over. I’m not exactly sure how to explain it but normally you would download the iso file from Microsoft, then burn the file to a usb using a program like  then Rufus or I believe Windows has a built in program. Then you could plug the usb into a computer and boot from it to install windows. If you just copy the iso file over, the computer will not be able to boot to it to install windows.

ISO file would be the disk image that the Windows installer comes in. What is the file extension of the file that's on your phone since it seems that you've downloaded on your phone.

Well ill just buy windows from some website because i dont have a pc to do this

In that case you’ll need either a usb or a dvd with the installation media already on it, unless you don’t have a dvd drive in your computer, in which case the usb will be your only option as far as I can tell.

Unless your PC currently has no OS you can do it with it?

You can't really buy ready made install media nowadays. Do it at a friend's.
