Suggestion for a budget cpu cooler

Anandraj

I've a rig with stock intel cooler fan. Ideally the temp is around 50-60 C. Under stress, cpu temps reach 100 C easily. Please give me suggestions for a good upgrade.

Processor : Intel i5-4460 with stock cooler

you need to make sure the cooler is mounted properly, with thermal paste underneath. sounds like a serious error in the CPU's mount, the stock Intel cooler can keep the quad core i7s from throttling just fine.

did you make sure all the plastic pins are secured to the motherboard properly?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

A bit it depends of geographical location. In EU there's probably best - Gelid Phantom. But I assume this is not the location.

I edit my posts more often than not

Make sure that the plastic ends are fully expanded on the back of the motherboard and that the pins are rotated clockwise / locked into place.

What case and ram are you using?

Where are you shopping / located? Budget?
