My phone case us turning yellow (how do I fix it)

I've tried washing and scrubbing them with detergent, dishwashing liquid, soap, handwash but nothing worked, it came free with my oppo A12, it was clear and white, but now it is messing up the looks of the back of my phone, my phone actually is blue, but it now looks a bit green

In short, you can't. That's the downside of TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) material. It reacts to heat, light, grease and acids from hands and eventually goes yellow. It cannot be cleaned in any way as it's not surface discoloration, but material as whole.

 

Best way to counter this is just to buy bunch of TPU cases from eBay/AliExpress and when they go yellow you replace it.

 

Another way would be to go with transparent poycarbonate case which is essentially transparent hard plastic and usually doesn't discolor, but is harder to install and is not as snug as TPU ones.

You can try retrobrighting (basically submerging it in hydrogen peroxide and leaving in the sun for several hours). I've heard that can work. Worst case scenario it doesn't fix anything.

Though the amount of Hydrogen Peroxide required would cost more than just getting a new case.

You can buy a bottle of it at the dollar store for under $2, and you can (should, tbh) dilute it with water.

They sell that stuff at the Dollar Store?? I haven't seen our dollar stores here stock up on that. Usually have to go to an actual Pharmacy and they charge like 5 bucks a pop.

I always buy mine from a local Dollarama.
