if your current system is doing fine as it, dont bother doing anything about it

if you do need to upgrade, the GPU will do, i dont think new CPU will be much better than the 9900k in games anyways.

Is there anything you cant do with your current PC that you want to be able to do that will be solved by upgrading? If so than do it, if not than dont bother. Everyone is freaking out about their 2080/2080ti but everyone seems to be forgetting that those cards are HIGHLY capable of doing most everything a person could want to do with a home PC

So, you means 2080 Ti is still so capable

if it's still pushing a good amount of FPS (and it should), i dont see why you should upgrade it

Of course 2080 ti is still capable ... the 970 I gave to my sister to replace her 950 is still more than capable for the game she plays ... it only depend on what you're doing and the amount of money you want to spend ... if you're drowning in money then go on and spoil yourself, you've earned it ... if you're on a tight budget just consider what you use your computer for and if it's still able to do what you want withing the parameter you wants ... I know how it feels when new tech comes out ... that urge to upgrade from whatever you have right now ...

heck I have the urge to upgrade from a gt430 to a gt1030 in my living room computer just to watch youtube video ... ;)

Haswell is still used to this day, if people don't need to upgrade then they probably wont.

Well I would like to upgrade and give that system to my gf ... but I can't really justify the money for now ... I'm pretty sure that if I want to play really demanding games like control and achieve good fps then I will surely have to upgrade sooner than later.

Unless you need HDMI 2.1, there's very little justifiable reason for you to upgrade. You still have a near top-of-the-line CPU and GPU.

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x3D || GPU: Gigabyte Windforce RTX 4090 || Memory: 32GB Corsair 3200mhz DDR4 || Motherboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk || SSD1: 500 GB Samsung 850 EVO M.2 (OS drive) || SSD2: 500 GB Samsung 860 EVO SATA (Cache Drive via PrimoCache) || Spinning Disks: 3 x 4TB Western Digital Blue HDD (RAID 0) || Monitor: LG CX 55" OLED TV || Sound: Schiit Stack (Modi 2/Magni 3) - Sennheiser HD 598, HiFiMan HE 400i || Keyboard: Logitech G915 TKL || Mouse: Logitech G502 Lightspeed || PSU: EVGA 1300-watt G+ PSU || Case: Fractal Design Pop XL Air

Right, but should I also stuck with i9-9900K

Ok so once again, Is there ANYTHING that you want your PC to do that it cant with the current chip you have? These are the questions you need to ask yourself. If you find that you need more power than by all means get a new board and CPU but if you have zero current issue than dont bother. Of course all of that is also dependant on you not just wanting to upgrade for the sake of upgrading. If you are someone who just loves having the newest stuff than go ahead and make yourself happy, but if you are only pondering this based on performance than I would tend to say you have no reason to upgrade any of your system if you are a typical gamer/user

I already have 2080 Ti and i9-9900K, but Nvidia just launched their 3000 series and AMD 4th gen Cpu's are also coming this October so should I need to buy new ones or stuck with my current system

Only if you want too, no real NEED unless you NEED something specific out of the newer platform, for gaming it won't make any real difference.

Changing a whole platform when the new ones aren't really any better, or enough to really make any difference is throwing money away.

As far as the GPUs go wait until the reviews come out etc and compare what you actually get with your system to the reviewers scores etc.

You are already running a 2080Ti and 9900K so it would really take a lot more performance to make the upgrade worthwhile.

I think the 3090 might be something, the 3080... Well not so much, but we will see, going by the Doom E benchmarks, little to no difference between the 3080 and 2080Ti at 4K and even less than the 2080Ti in some of them. In the games that support RT there should be some difference I would think.

I do think a lot of people who sold their 2080Ti's are going to very pissed once the reviews come out... RT isn't exactly a big thing yet..... ;)

Unless they planned on getting a 3090, I think that GPU will be something...

I mean the people telling you to wait have a point... Wait untill you got some games where you aren't happy with the framerates etc...

Otherwise why upgrade... It'll happen sooner than later anyways and the longer that is the better because newer hardware may be out by then.

The direction tells you... the direction

All I am saying is wait until the reviews and tests come out to see what the new cards will really do.
