I don't get the point of a 550W 80+ Plat PSU, when you can get a 600-650W 80+ Bronze PSU for less than that, that'll give you more headroom for OCing and expansion?

Non-modular. DIE IN A FIRE! 

non-modular is ironically great if you have a small case because modular cables take up more space.

It's also better if you end up using most of the cables. With a large case a non-modular PSU is easier to make look tidy than modular.
