Need help with buying headphones

Sebarobbie

Im willing to spend 120 dollars on buying good quality headphones. I am not an audio expert but i would like to know whats the best choice.

PHILIPS SHP9500 : https://www.amazon.com/Philips-SHP9500S-Precision-Over-ear-Headphones/dp/B00ENMK1DW/ref=pd_ybh_a_13?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=DVYSNMC1RP53PFKKRJG8

PHILIPS FIDELIO L2 https://www.amazon.com/L2BO-27-Fidelio-auriculares-fidelidad-protección/dp/B00WTQDV5E/ref=pd_ybh_a_11?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=DVYSNMC1RP53PFKKRJG8

SONY MDR7506 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AJIF4E?pf_rd_r=0C4WWN9RSVPQZASGTKYB&pf_rd_p=edaba0ee-c2fe-4124-9f5d-b31d6b1bfbee

AUDIO-TECHNICA ATH-M40X : https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATHM40x-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B00HVLUR54/ref=pd_ybh_a_12?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=DVYSNMC1RP53PFKKRJG8

Im really looking for a clear and bassy audio experience. I barely know how to equalize speakers , but as i said im really looking foward for a good audio experience. I know that i have to buy some type of DAC or Amplifier but i want to buy that later on. Im also gaming on those.

I got these for $30 and they are the bomb man! No complaints over audio nor sounding muffled, literally perfect sound.

I don't think a $30 RGB gaming headset quite fits the bill of "$120 to spend on clear and bassy good quality headphones". You'd probably be better off strapping two dog turds to the sides of your head.

The ATH-M40X are well regarded but you might be able to get the M50X within budget if you shop around. This looks like a surprisingly good value package.

So Yeah this $30 headset is amazing

I know it's natural to like things you've bought, but a $30 no-brand gaming headset isn't even in the same universe any of the options in the OP's post. It's not even really answering the question he's asking given that his primary interest is in a good audio experience, with gaming a secondary consideration.

Personally a fan of the Sony, and highly recommend them, but I would say the M40X with some thicker replacement pads would be a safer bet.

Please don't spread miss-information when you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Some $29 LED strapped to your head with $1 speaker from a no name brand will never compete with any real pair of headphones over $20, let alone a good pair for $120.

If he gets the M50X, I highly recommend getting them from somewhere that offers change of mind returns. I'm not dissing people who like the M50X, they're just extremely controversial and you either love them, or hate them.

I can't really think of anything bassy and good for gaming within your budget. If you stretch it a bit you can get something like a Fidelio x3hr but it can get muddy. Maybe a pair of akg k371 or sivga sv006 are options. But if you want a nice bassy experience within your budget that can get bassy the takstar pro 82 are an option as well as the creative aurvana live!

I would not recommend the m50x for gaming the utter lack of soundstage.

They hit the brief of "clear" and "bassy", I definitely treated the gaming requirement as secondary...but I appreciate they're not to everyone's taste

Depends on the track I find clarity a bit not great in busy tracks as the instruments and sound just kinda blend due to the lack of soundstage. Imo they are best used as monitoring headphones. But that's just me . I also daily drive headphones that are known to not be for everyone either.

I was looking for the Takstar Pro 82 on Ebay and i found some from 70-80 dollars. I also saw a video of a guy called Z Reviews which said everything i needed to know. Thanks.
