1080 TI purchase

So I'm upgrading to a 1080 TI and thinking of buying one for $300 in my local area . Is this a good deal considering new gen coming out?

Yes. I would do it. I have a 1080 Ti and at max settings, it runs anything at like 50-60% load. 

You could also see if you cant snipe some 2000 series, as people might be selling for dirt cheap, looking to upgrade to 3000 series.

It's much better than any new GPU you could get for that money so yeah.

Wait for reviews. a 3070 could be worth the 200$ more over that 1080ti

True, 3070 could absolutely blow everything out of the water. Also, AMDs new GPUs coming soon too. 

If you need an upgrade ASAP though, I'd say just do the 1080 Ti.

thanks for the reply, i did look for 2080s but people selling them at 650-900 range, considering the new 3070 is faster and at 500, this is still a big risk in my opinion. but dyammmmm if i see  a 2080 at the below 400 point,,, ../droolllls

I dont think its a risk. If you can hold off, and spend 200 more dollars in 2 months or so, then do it. 3070 will be faster.

Otherwise, 1080 Ti is a gangster GPU and I love it. $300 is a good deal for it, if you need a GPU right now.
