Yes. I would do it. I have a 1080 Ti and at max settings, it runs anything at like 50-60% load. 

You could also see if you cant snipe some 2000 series, as people might be selling for dirt cheap, looking to upgrade to 3000 series.

Wait for reviews. a 3070 could be worth the 200$ more over that 1080ti

thanks for the reply, i did look for 2080s but people selling them at 650-900 range, considering the new 3070 is faster and at 500, this is still a big risk in my opinion. but dyammmmm if i see  a 2080 at the below 400 point,,, ../droolllls
