Hello, I have Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52 equiped with Intel i5 8300h

When I play any game on it while plugged in, the CPU temprature hits temprature above 90°C

I have tried undervolting with offset -0.175 still getting  max temprature 86°C

I don't know how to fix it.

I want my laptop to last long.

Seeking for your help.

According to the review below, those temps are normal for that laptop. You could try using some high quality thermal paste, but there’s not much you can do.

86C is not overheating.

limit cpu usage to 50 or 75%

That will significantly reduce performance.

You can try re-pasting and dusting out the laptop but other than that not much

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

Shouldn't throttle the cpu.

I mean, it's not throttling, and 86C is safe. Sure it's not ideal out of context, but this is a laptop we're talking about, so it's not that bad.
