shouldI sell my 2070 super and buy a 3070 when it comes out?

TubbieTubs

I heard that the 3070 super is going to have similar performance to a 2080ti which is a big jump from a 2070 super and only for 500 dollars. Would it be worth it to sell it, it seems to go for around 400, then buy a 3070 super or should I keep my card. Im not sure.

First off, are you happy with the performance you get now? If you are, dont upgrade. Doesnt matter if there is more performance to be had, if it runs in a way you like now, dont upgrade.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

You'll want to see what prices are (unless you can sell it now) for used cards after reviews.  I imagine they'll be a good deal lower immediately after launch and reviews.  They might creep back up a little bit though.

Can I nick this for HOTUKDEALS?

Plenty of NVIDIA fan boys on there frothing at the new 3000 series cards

One guy who had a 970 games at 1080p 60hz wants a 3070 "because reasons" I said your probably getting 60fps in most games with the 970 now depending on the game obviously so why the need to upgrade?

If there is a game that stutters or you plan to play at higher resolutions and refresh rates then sure upgrade, but the average joe mostly games at 1080p 60hz if there lucky.

If you can get $400 for your 2070s yes. But I doubt that’s going to be the case for a while
