OLED Anxiety

So I REALLY want to get a Lg CX Oled for my new gaming pc but i’m wary of burn in...

 

I play games with health bars and huds A lot and can often play 6-8 hours a day Given that I work from home and have a lot of free time.

 

i’m worried I play way too much to have an OLED.

 

Would setting my display to go into sleep mode every 15 minutes of no activity, and using pixel refresh every couple of days prevent burn in? 
 

Or will it inevitably happen no matter what I do?

Not sure 100% but I think with OLED it's a near guarantee with time.

Should help mitigate the issue but the primary casue would be:

If you really want a premium display go for a high refresh rate IPS display with HDR, that is my opinion. I personally will never get an OLED monitor for this exact reason.

My problem is the oled is large and has all the features I want, high refresh rate, g sync, 4k, hdr.

 

the only monitor that exists to my knowledge with all that is the 27uq which to me is too small personally... and I am NOT spending 3500+ on the 32uqx if it ever even comes.

You could get something much more balling for that money, like the ultra curved ultra wide samsung monitor Linus is always raving about recently (I think it's the G7?)

Wait for MicroLED or just buy a LCD.

My "gaming" monitor is 6 years old and still runs like new,no burn-in and highly reliable.

4K is about pixel density.

What is your point here? 

The smallest 4K 55" has a PPI of 80.

G7 has a pixel density of roughly 92.

 

You wouldn't notice a difference at normal sitting distances.

 

Half the time someone 'wants something' is 1. they don't know anything about the tech 2. they want the epeen bragging status.
