Hello,

Each GPU with Zerofan mode I had is and was a nightmare.

At exactly 50*C they start to spin and if it ramps up and the temp drops to 49*C they stop spinning, again, reaching 50*C start spinning and then stop.

I can not express how annoying this "feature" is, I even started to avoiding all GPUs with this "feature".

If all the so called "engineers" put bit more thought to it and if the range was 50*C to spin up and if it doesn't go all the way down to 40-45*C the fans could just keep spinning.

The lowest fan RPM % is quieter than this ramping up of fans all I hear is "BRRR ... BRRR ... BRRR".

This "feature" was made to make the PCs quieter but instead it's just annoying.

I had an EVGA FTW 1660ti, ASUS STRIX 2080 Super and now a KFA 2080 EX, I had also other before but wasn't that bad.

hmm... i've had zero issue with mine, fan NEVER spins until i put a load on it, until i had this issue

but yes you can set a custom fan curve to have it always on to fix your problem

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

The RX 570 bios on my card (and most rx 5xx bioses, downloaded and opened quite a few in srbpolaris bios editor) has a hysteresis value, by default if I remember correctly it's set at 3 degrees Celsius.

So the fan starts spinning at let's say 65 degrees and stops spinning at around 62 degrees, and at least on my gigabyte aorus and another Sapphire pulse, they spin quite low, at 10-15% or so, barely audible.

Just set the "spinup-temp" to 60°C or a little higher. Many GPUs can reach 50°C on idle without running fans. With 60°C the should only start working if the card is working on a game etc.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
