Hi, i need help with choosing new CPU in decent budget (e.g. Ryzen 5 2600), primary for playing games like League of Legends, MC, Rocket League etc. (not high end games at all)

GPU will be probably gtx 1660 super and some 16gb 3200mhz rams.

Thanks for all tips.

Budget for the cpu?

The 3300x is better in almost every workload unless it's purely multi threaded and in this case, a 3300x costs about the same is a better pick.

Also please just make one thread in new builds and planning.

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

AMD just dropped their RX 5300 which might match up or possible surpass the super. I would wait and see how it looks and it could shake up GPU prices in a good way.

The RX 5300 is targeted to hopefully compete with the GTX 1650. That's a long way off the 1660 Super.

Given that the RX5500 is slower than the 1660 Super, it would take a miracle for the 5300 to be faster

Lower end hardware tends to be released later down the line but if waiting is possible then yes that's not a bad idea.

So should i stick with the GTX 1660 super? Or is there some better choice? (in same price category)

No, that's the best choice at that specific price point, unless you can miraculously get a good 5600XT for about the same price.
