Ryzen 5 and Intel i5 are not specific processors, they are two different processor lines.

But honestly, a Ryzen 5 3600 and Intel Core i5 10400F or a 3600X vs 10600 is a very similar story, especially for gaming.

I would personally favor AMD, because of its ability to use high speed memory on lower end motherboard and its overall better pricing where I live. But that latter point can of course also be different where you live.

Which specific cpus and what are the prices for each? Will you be doing anything other than gaming?
