Not really, the 10600k is a beast, and the 10900k is about as good as it gets for single-core performance. 

All their security issues and the rumor that ampere gpu will run off gen 4 cpie and so on was what i was going with. Also if a 4950 comes out it will most likely close on the single core performance gap.

Intel still dominates in single core by a lot. AMD at best probably match it up with 4000.

also if the security flaws in intel processors are a legitimate issue for you then you probably have bigger problems to worry about
