PCIE power cable/connector comes loose

Algebruh

Will it be dangerous if the place where the power cable and connector meet comes loose?

If I pull the cable, the pin inside the connector moves quite a bit (about 2mm).

No, it's perfectly fine.

The extra two wires are ground wires, they don't have electricity, and they're only there to basically tell the video card "it's ok to take double the amount of energy from the connector"

Well, that's not completely true.  One is used as a ground while the other is a ground signal to tell the card that an 8-pin is there.

If the two-pin cab be pulled off with the 6-pins remaining plugged in, then you don't have the connector assembled correctly or not fully inserted into the graphics card.

There's a "shoulder" on the 6-pin portion that holds the +2 in once fully inserted into the graphics card. It should not move at all.

I meant to say that if I pull the cable while the connector is plugged in, the metal pin inside the connector moves, but the connector ( the black plastic thingy) stays stationary.

Curious... What PSU is this?

The stock cables seem to be fine, but one particular cable from Corsair cable kit has this issue.

Ah.  So you're using the individually sleeved cables from Corsair?

Well, I guess don't pull on the wires once it's plugged in.

One more question : If the extra 2 pin from 6+2 pin PICE lost contact while GPU is running at full lost, will it damage the PSU or GPU ?

Well.. the extra ground is used for extra power.  And without the sense wire, the graphics card would probably just shut down.
