where would Ryzen 7 3rd gen come into play?

I currently own a Ryzen 3600 pair up with a RTX 2070 

so I'm wondering when do I need to upgrade to any of the Ryzen 7 3rd gen processors?

If your workload scales up to 8c/16t. If your just gaming. It's not necessary as a 3600 will perform similarly.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad. 

 

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

 

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

So the 3700X? If you needed more multithreaded power, otherwise it won't make a difference.

wait what? you dont need a ryzen 7, the 3600 is perfectly adequate if you are only gaming.

Video editing, rendering, CAD not so much I think, at least not for fairly small projects.

If you want to upgrade to an 8-core though, at least for Zen 3 to release.

a 6 core will still handle it fine i would say, of course it depends on the scale of the project. but wait for zen 3 as the 3600 is pretty good.

If u wanted to upgrade id wait for zen 3 and go for a 4700x-4900x.
