this seems like a solid build, however, id suggest you wait for a while before you make your purchase. new 4000 series ryzen cpus, as well as 3000 series NVIDIA ampere gpus and AMD big navi gpus are coming soon, theyre expected to drop by midseptember. with a budget like yours, waiting could get you better performance for the same price. im talking 2080 super performance for the price of a 2070.

😕

Looks good, although I'm not sure if you'll need that motherboard if you're only going with a Ryzen 5, unless you're planning on upgrading to Ryzen 9 in the future. Also, air coolers are generally more reliable than AIOs, especially if you're only going with a Ryzen 5. The only time that watercooling beats air cooling is when you're doing a custom loop, and even then they're a lot of maintenance. They're mainly meant for people that can't cool their hardware with air and/or want to do beefy overclocks. So unless you're planning on going with some serious overclocking, or upgrading, an air cooler would probably best. Also, you probably don't need a 750w PSU. If you want to be super safe and leave room for better components, then sure.

Also, I would personally wait for NVIDIA 3000 cards, new AMD Graphics Cards, and the new 4000 Ryzen series processors, because they're right around the corner.

Also would be helpful if you mentioned what you plan to do on this PC. This is a pretty powerful system and could be overkill for what you want to do on it. Then again, it might not be enough depending on what you want to do, lol.

And finally, I would recommend going with 3600mhz, CL16 RAM (or lower if you can find it) with tight timings like 16-16-16-36 or something similar, and obviously if you want to go with a lower cas latency then those timings will be slightly different. My point is that Ryzen really benefits from fast ram with tight timings, so I think that would be worth investing in.

Other than that, looks like a good build, but just let me know what this build is meant for.

It’s definitely worth waiting a couple months. There’s new AMD CPUs releasing in the next few months. As well as high end gpus from Radeon and Nvidia. Stock and price is pretty bad right now so that’s something which will probably get better. So you should wait but if you need a pc then this is the feedback I have to offer.

You can save a few bucks by going with a good air cooler like the Dark Rock Pro 4 or a NH-D15. The motherboard is more than your cpu, and it’s quite unnecessary. You can get a solid B550 or X570 motherboard for under $200. The power supply is very overpriced, stock for power supplies is bad right now so I would wait or try to look for a model with a more reasonable price. You can get a 1tb m.2 nvme ssd for that price like the Crucial P1, which is still a great ssd.

I would recommend waiting for ryzen 4000, nvidia 30 series and big navi to be released (within the next 2-3 months).

This is a build that is the best I could put together for right now with your budget.

I have changed most things from your list:

1. A cheaper CPU cooler. The dark rock pro 4 can handle even a 3900x.

2. This mobo is cheaper but is still great for your CPU and futureproof.

3. This Ram is faster which ryzen benefits from.

4. The crucial p1 is still a good nvme drive and has double the storage for a similar price to the 970evo.

5. The rm750 can be found for 150$

6. This case has superior airflow and even better once an extra fan is added.

With all the money saved, you can go for a much better GPU and a better CPU. If you wanted to save a bit more you could still use a ryzen 5 3600 in this.

For not much more you could get a 1 tb drive, and a cheaper motherboard would be fine

No need for an expensive cooler. Something like an Arctic Freezer 34 would do.

Same for the board. You can get a B550 for much less.

A 5700XT is better value if you are not fussed about Nvidia.

A 550W/650W psu is enough.

The Samsung drives are expensive/overpriced. Something like a WD Blue SN550 will be cheaper.
