case height limitations problem

I was wondering if the hyper 212 black edition from coolermaster fits in the  coolermaster masterbox lite 3.1

Chassis: 158mm max cooler hight

Cooler: 158.8mm

 

I'm sure there's some discrepancy in there but I personally wouldn't chance it unless I can return the cooler otherwise. If it isn't touching the side panel it will be right butt up against it.

I know that but in the coolermaster's website it says that the hyper 212 evo fits in  the case BUT the hyper 212 evo is 160mm so thats why I am asking

If that's the case I can't give you a 100% definite answer maybe our resident chassis aficionado @TVwazhere will have better insight but seeing how they chopped the nubbins off the end of the heatpipes on the BE it might just be in the clear.

The have the EVO listed on their website officially as 159mm. If they say that fits in the Masterbox 3.1, than the 212 black at 158.8mm should also fit. 

 

If it doesnt fit, you can file an RMA with cooler master as they make both parts and verify on their webiste that they'll fit. 

Here's a PCPartPicker using the 212 EVO, cant find one using a 212 black though.
