Ways to re-purpose Intel stock cooler?

Title says it all. I stripped down the cooler to just the heatsink, and thought, they're has to be some use for this hunk of metal? Any sort of 'ghetto' cooling to be done?

Use it as a cup coaster.

If you had an old GPU you could try to mount it and see if it works. :P

 

As far as real purposes go, I don't have any ideas.

I like it. Minimal drawbacks.

That was what I was thinking, but it may be a bit too big a risk for me. :P

Well, obviously no speed difference. But I'm guessing it would be a bit cooler. I think it would be hilarious and feel compelled to do this. It would be a hilarious build log.

Yeah I know, but the hilarity of that siting in my hard drive bays. I have some thermal paste laying around too.

works perfectly, even the spacing fits perfectly for my favourite cup.

It's a beautiful piece from the DrVendetta collection of 2013. Retails at 300$ but I will happily sell it for 25$ if anyone is interested.
