Hi there! I have noticed that on my gaming PC with RTX 2080 and 1ms 144 hz g sync monitor the background is more blurry than on my 7 year old Samsung TV connected to playstation. How is this possible? I have launched metro 2033 recently and on playstation I can read some background text when moving around while on PC the image is more blurry, even if I maintain constant 141 fps.

Are you sure that motion blur is disabled in the game settings? Try using Blur Buster's tests.

Have you checked your monitor panel settings specific to response times... (Overdrive mechanics and whatnot)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I have tried both options and I don't see much difference unfortunately. When I run blur busters video game motion test with dota 2 game #3 and I go 960 pixels/sec it's slightly hard to read text at 144 fps but what they show as comparison at 60 fps is definitely not what I see on my TV. It is much smoother .

If you would go: https://www.testufo.com/framerates-versus#photo=dota2b-bg.jpg&pps=960&framepacingerror=0.1&direction=rtl&framerate=30&compare=2&showfps=1

Can you very easily read the names above the monsters at 144 fps or is it slightly stuttering?

Yes I can.

Have you switched the windows setting to 144hz, as a lot of people forget to do that when they buy their first high refreshrate monitor.

Also which monitor did you buy?

It looks smooth and mostly readable to me.

Two questions...

1. Is this the only monitor you have hooked up?

2. What is the model of the monitor, and have you looked up reviews to see what the actual response time is? Many say 1 ms, but in reality they are slower than that for most types of pixel transitions. I like rtings.com
