So i built a pc from used parts.

specs:

Asus rog maximus ranger VIII

i5 6600k (oc to 4.7ghz @1.3V)

corsair vengeance 2x4gb 3000mhz cl15

samsung 850 evo 256gb

Some old 750gig HDD

Silverstone case (unsure about the model, got mesh in the front and in the top)

XFX ts bronze 550w (tier B)

Sapphire pulse rx 570 4gb

I got some good deals about these parts.

the mobo, ram, ssd and the cpu cost me about 100€

HDD, case and psu about 50€

And the gpu about 50€

First thing i noticed that the case was too tight to fit my gpu. Had to mod the case and it went horribly wrong (check the pics). But the pc lived.

The motherboard is very high quality. Had nice bios and unfortunately rgb (sorry @TofuHaroto)

I was amazed that the ram actually wored with at 3000mhz with cl of 15. I didn't think that the IMC could handle it.

Havent tested any games yet. Will post pics about them.

The model of the gpu is great. I got it to +500 memory, 125 on core, +0.100V stable and it will run under 80c with custom curve.

The cables of the psu were a mess. FML

Nice deal.

The IMC of Skylake was generally fine at that speed and even a bit more. The bigger problem was the mobo support in that era was pretty hit and miss. That family of Asus boards were better than most.

Why is the GPU at that angle though? It can't be at right-angle to the motherboard like that?

Well the gpu didnt fit since the case lifted up the gpu so that my pc wouldnt boot. I had to use a little force in order to my gpu to fit.

Sound a bit like a possible lack of standoffs if I'm honest...
