I think the Dt990's fill the criteria. Might be able to get on special.

a 990 would have decent bass, ok mids and good highs, open, and comfortable.

 

you should still have enough money left over after buying them for an e10. 

 

880 is more balanced. An HD598 is also something you can look at.

I agree, you can also find used hd600 or 650 in that price range which would be a little better

For GAMING choose the ATH-AD900X.

It'd be genius for A-T to include something for the same purpose with the headphones, but whateves. Use one of those hair ties instead of a rubber band if a woman near you has some lying around.
