1080p 24" vs 1440p 27"

Witch one is better, a 24" 1080p vs a 27" 1440p. I really need a new monitor and I am debating getting a 24" 1080p or a 27" 1440p. Can someone please tell me witch one I should get. Thanks.

27" is better....to me.

That question completely comes down to personal preference. There isn't a better one.

if u play competetive games like CSGO, PUBG, COD,APEX Legends etc... stick to 24 inch 1080p, the difference in pixel density is pretty small , and its much easier to track enemies on 24 inch monitor, 27 inch is too big, and picture quality is only slightly better

Im about to get a 24" 1080p 144hz panel for my personal rig, and my wifes rig has a 27" 1440p 144hz panel (its amazing in quality tbh, beautiful colors, sitting right next to me) - reason Im sticking with 1080p is my GPU (and my habit of staying low tier) I can drive more frames with less pixels.  So I wouldnt get the 1440p panel if you cant push it properly because without AA @ 27" it looks bad, and without a GPU to drive all those pixels its not alot of frames (and the pixel density - or lack there of - shows without AA)

Mostly schoolwork and watching videos/movies, but also some very light gaming, mostly Minecraft, Battlefield, Forza and Valorant. My GPU is the GTX 1650 SUPER.

What GPU do u use. Would the 1650 SUPER work fine, or would it work better on a 24"

R9 Fury, very similar in performance to the 1650 super check out this video for example

Spec wise, yes it supports 1440p (its not a will I think thing, its a specification thing).  Are you a gamer?  I would not go 1440p with that GPU, unless you understand it will struggle to provide 60 FPS with low settings on new games or any AAA titles released recently - with the expectation of a future GPU giving you the horsepower you need.

 

Don't get me wrong, 2k great.  When settings are turned up its amazing.  But 27" pixel density without anti aliasing on is bad @ 1440p imho for detailed games.

I would not call myself a gamer, but I do play a bit of games. But if I'm gonna game, its probably gonna be on my xbox. But when I do game on my PC, i do want it to work well and provide (hopefully) more than 60fps most of the time. The only reason I want 1440p is because I will be doing schoolwork and watching movies/ videos on it. So i really just want it to be clear. So if 1080p gives me a clear monitor, then I would rather save the money and go with that.

Distance from monitor, panel type, etc are all portions of this btw.

 

Look into Twisted Pneumatic vs IPS panels, etc.  My 1440p panel is an IPS panel and its colors are...on another level imho.  Theres a lot more into this decision if you are looking for those things.  If not get a cheap 1080p monitor and call it a day, they can be found for next to nothing.

What monitor do you have? I was thinking of the Asus VP249QGR for the 1080p one, and the Acer V277U for the 1440p one.

Acer XF270HU 1440p 144hz IPS - this model comes in IPS and TN (twisted pneumatic) also.  Have to read the specs.
