I was looking into getting a mirrorless camera for below 800 USD. I was looking at the Sony a6100 because i wanted to do photography and mess around with video from time to time. Any recommendations?

The  Sony a6100 would be my recommendation.

I have the 6000 and it's great :)

I say a6100 because it's the same as the a6000 but with slightly better processing and 4k support. I already borrowed a a6000 and loved it for how versatile it is.
