Is there a way to change the startup with Windows after installation?

I've looked everywhere including the services in hope of changing it to manual, but I just can't find the setting for "Start with Windows Yes/No."

Help very much appreciated, thanks.

Hey there. I'm afraid your question is a little ambiguous -- is your question about Folding@home, BOINC, or Coin Mining?

Going to assume that you're referring to F@H, since that seems to be the most active discussion in this sub-forum. Hidden in spoilers, because I'm not sure whether it's relevant or not.

Spoiler
  • The F@H Client may be paused from folding on startup. However, this does not stop the client from launching on startup.
    • In F@H's Advanced Control, go into Configure > Expert.
    • Under Extra Client Options, select Add, and enter the following:
      • Name: pause-on-start
      • Value: true
    • Hit the Save button to save these changes to your F@H Client.

F@H Advanced Control - Expert Tab

  • Reinstall the F@H Client. I recall there being an option to disable the F@H Client from launching automatically on startup.
  • Delete the program from the Startup folder. Note that I haven't tried this method, and can't guarantee that it works.
    • Bring up the Run window with CTRL + R.
      • Type: shell: common startup
    • File Explorer should open to your Startup folder.
    • If the F@H Client shortcut is in the folder, delete it.

Thanks for confirming that it should be there. I'm quite certain I've fudged the installation by tinkering with my GPU settings and causing crashes. I'll go ahead and re-install it to make sure it's all properly listed. Thanks again.

Disable the "HideConsole" within the start-up on Task Manager.
