how much should I be paying for a used 1070

So I'm building a system for a friend and his little brother, and I was going to buy a used 1070 from another friend of mine to use in this system. Well, it turns out that card is no longer for sale, and I'm going to have to look for a different listing. So, how much should I be looking to pay for a used 1070 in good condition? The one from my friend was quoted at $170 the last time I asked, but I've seen listings for up to $300. Also, are there any other cards in the $150-$200 range that I should consider with comparable performance if I can't find a 1070 for a good price? Thanks

even 200$ is insanity considering a 1660 Ti is just as fast and has warranty. And with the age factor, 150-160$ is what I expect to pay for a 1070.

1660 / 5500xt. Though for 230 bucks you can get a 1660super which is basically a 1070 with a smaller frame buffer.

I wouldn't pay any more than $150.

any thoughts on the performance of something like an rx580, or are those too low end to be considered at this price point? Only asking because people say they're good, and they retail for around $160.

Buying used in this market doesn't really seem reasonable. If you need a card now I would recommend buying something like a 1660 or something similar and in that price range.

Wouldn’t spend more then 200 for certain versions. If there’s a similar performing card new for the same price you can try that if not used is always better.
