he's buying via credit cards lol.

Well as I said. If your budget is 500 bucks. Then obviously the 5700xt is out of the question. It's either a 5700 or a 5600xt. Or a 2060 super if the price is reasonable.

A 5700XT will not give you 144 FPS at 1440p unless you turn the settings way down. I have a Sapphire Nitro plus 5700XT and have a 1080p 165 Hz monitor. On most triple AAA games (Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Borderlands 3, etc) I get around 120 FPS with high/very high settings. I imagine at 1440p you’d have to dial the settings way down to achieve these frame rates. Basically you are looking at a RTX 2080 Super or even a Ti to max out that monitor.

Well, if you want to play at 1440p, you could still buy the monitor and play at lower settings for now. When you upgrade your GPU in the future, you’ll be able to hit higher frame rates with higher settings.

Well there you go then - go with a 5700/XT for now and then upgrade in the future. That monitor should last for years because at 27 inches 1440p is the sweet spot.
