64 player games are especially taxing on the CPU.

That's pretty normal, bf4 uses Cpu power very aggressively.

All at 30%? No.

Doesnt matter. http://i.imgur.com/N4TqmHh.jpg That game has 32 threads where as 2 are major and one thats alot smaller and all the others are so minor thats why you see low usages on the other cores. Dont confuse hardware threads (eg i7 gives 4 more threads) with software threads. If you have one thread you can only execute it on 1 core at a time, 2 threads 2 cores, 3 threads 3 cores and so on..

Saying that upcoming titles are going to use 8 cores is wrong, just rather use the verb takes advantage of. As I said this game here only requires per core performance because it only has 2 major threads.

Ok, I fair enough on WoW.

But we are talking about BF4 in this topic, which does in fact use all available cores pretty much equally.

I have CoreTemp on most of the time on my PC, and it actually is observed that it uses around 30%'ish on all cores, which no other game has done so far, which indicates that lower core/thread (whatever you want to call it) is available, then something has to suck it up.

Honestly you're not interested in how many cores are being used, I explained this. You're just interested in how many cores it can take advantage of. Let me give you an example, 64 operation locker my cpu load jumps from 33 to 50% when everyone is filling the room with explosives and the gpu loads are dropping from both 99% to 50% so we noticed here the cpu is starting to bottleneck -> So I decided to tab out, assign to have the BF4 process to only use 6 cores (affinity) and it gave no performance hit at all, same frames. Doesnt take any advantage of more than 6 cores. If I want more frames there I just need to get better per core performance which can be done by overclocking the cpu.
